Web Workshop: Spirit at Work, An Inquiry
Each week we will look at the challenges of our relationship to our place of work
(physical environment, commute, parking), our relationship to the nature of our
work (the personal benefits, and the benefits for the world and their costs),
and our relationship to our managers, administrators, and co-workers.
We will learn how we can clarify these challenges and reflect on their impact and
meaning in the context of our spiritual growth. We will engage together in depth
discussions and reflection, in the most strict confidentiality. We will look at
how our meditative practices can help us in our self-inquiry and self-discovery.
A special importance will be given to conflicts at work. Very often it is impossible to
share our concerns and fears with co-workers and with those who have the power to
terminate our employment. We will learn some deep non-violent practices, drawn from
several spiritual traditions that will allow us to solve our conflicts without the help or
even the knowledge of the other person(s) in the conflict.
Web based group
Please make contact with Dr. Safken at [email protected] to join the group, or make contact through Facebook.
Individual Skype session available for participants in addition or instead of the group work, when they go through transitions at work or in their personal life affecting their work.
